PokeNav 1.9.0 - Point Of Interest Awareness

This update brings a number of improvements to PokeNav; most notably, the beginning of Gym and Pokestop awareness – which is being released today in an early access period. Starting today, PokeNav will have a database of gyms and pokestops, and communities will be able to geolocate their communities to have PokeNav automatically link raids to the right location when raids are started via screenshot. This database will be expanded in the near future to include most gyms and pokestops in the world. With user submitted data available at a later period. At the moment only gyms in select parts of south eastern pennslyvania are available.

Pokédex

  • Blast Burn and Smack Down added to the Pokedex

  • Bug fix for an issue that might prevent counters from displaying properly

Raid Coordination

  • Screenshot scanning recognition fixes

  • Hatch time and End time now appear in raid advertisements when scanned via screenshot, this is separate from channel expiration

  • Users no longer automatically join a raid party when announcing it via screenshot

  • $location aliased to $address for consistency with $gym command

  • If an egg screenshot post contains message text with a pokemon’s name, PokeNav will assume that Pokemon is in the egg and set it as the boss

  • Locations and directions to raid are now displayed in raid party advertismenets and updated when set by users

$gym command

  • Sets the location in a raid using a case insensitive search of gyms in a community play area

  • Overrides previously set location

$time / $tr / $clock command

  • Displays the amount of time remaining until the egg hatches, ends or channel expires

$gym-info command

  • Displays information about a gym in the play area, such as directions to it and its GPS coordinates

Trainer Profile

  • You will receive a maximum of one monthly DM from PokeNav when you exceed your quota explaining how you can increase it through Patreon.

Badges

  • Updated embeds for consistency of presentation on Android and iOS clients when awarding badges

Moderation

  • Moderators can now set GPS coordinates for the center of their community and view # gyms and pokestops in their play area

Other

  • Substantial backend performance improvements to prepare for a public launch

  • Minor text fixes
